Heatsafe Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update To CustomersSpecialists in Plumbing & Heating
Your safety and the safety of our engineers is important to us, and we are monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation daily.
If you contact Heatsafe for a service, we will ask you if you are confirmed to have contracted Coronavirus (COVID-19) or are self-isolating due to displaying symptoms as per UK Government guidelines.
The Government has updated its guidance on 25 March 2020 regarding work carried out in people’s homes:
Work carried out in people’s homes, for example by tradespeople carrying out repairs and maintenance, can continue, provided that the tradesperson is well and has no symptoms.
Again, it will be important to ensure that Public Health England guidelines, including maintaining a 2 metre distance from any household occupants, are followed to ensure everyone’s safety.
No work should be carried out in any household which is isolating or where an individual is being shielded, unless it is to remedy a direct risk to the safety of the household, such as emergency plumbing or repairs, and where the tradesperson is willing to do so.
In such cases, Public Health England can provide advice to tradespeople and households.
No work should be carried out by a tradesperson who has coronavirus symptoms, however mild.
Before your Heatsafe engineer arrives:
- Open all windows and doors to ensure the workspace is well ventilated if possible.
- Ensure you adhere by social distancing measures at all times.
- Stay 2 meters away and do not shake hands.
- Ask occupants to stay in another room
- Our engineer will not accept refreshments
Heatsafe is striving to operate as normal to ensure that a high level of service is maintained for all customers.
Heatsafe is hoping that by implementing procedures which are designed to reduce the spread of the virus and to reduce human contact we will be able to continue to meet the needs of all customers while also protecting the welfare of staff.
We appreciate your understanding.
